Veterinary Specialist Centre

At the VSC we work out of a state of the art veterinary facility that opened in 1997. Our hospital has been specially designed to meet the needs of animals that have complex conditions requiring specialist management. We have specialists in canine and feline internal medicine and surgery.

They bring together a wealth of knowledge and skills learnt both here and overseas. When your pet visits our hospital there is the advantage of having access to all these disciplines in one centre.

Why you need a referral to the VSC?

Your veterinarian provides primary care for your pet. However in some circumstances, just as in human medicine, a specialist may be required to manage your pet’s problem. Specialists have advanced training and experience in particular fields, as well as having access to the specialised equipment needed to diagnose and treat challenging problems.

If your regular veterinarian refers your pet to us, they will provide you with a referral letter and let us know why they are referring your pet. They can also assist you in making an appointment with the right specialist.
