Emergency CareThe Veterinary Specialist Centre is a specialist practice which contributes significantly to the veterinary education system by providing both undergraduate and postgraduate training . The Centre provides Post Graduate Training Programs in Canine and Feline Internal Medicine, Oncology and Small Animal Surgery.
Internships are 12-month positions, which allows veterinarians to train further within their chosen discipline so they have a greater understanding of their field prior to considering specialization.
The Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (ACVSc) approved Residency Training Programs in Small Animal Internal Medicine, Oncology and Surgery, provide in-depth training for veterinarians specialising in their area of interest.
Veterinarians interested in Small Animal Internal Medicine should contact Dr Phil Brain (pbrain@vetspecialist.com.au) and Dr Stephen Fearnside (sfearnside@vetspecialist.com.au) for Small Animal Surgery Training Programs.
