The Veterinary Specialist Centre is a specialist practice which contributes significantly to the veterinary education system by providing both undergraduate and postgraduate training . The Centre provides Post Graduate Training Programs in Canine and Feline Internal Medicine, Oncology and Small Animal Surgery.
Internships are 12-month positions, which allows veterinarians to train further within their chosen discipline so they have a greater understanding of their field prior to considering specialization.
The Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (ACVSc) approved Residency Training Programs in Small Animal Internal Medicine, Oncology and Surgery, provide in-depth training for veterinarians specialising in their area of interest.
Veterinarians interested in Small Animal Internal Medicine should contact Dr Phil Brain (email@example.com) and Dr Stephen Fearnside (firstname.lastname@example.org) for Small Animal Surgery Training Programs.
Continuing Education Seminars
The Veterinary Specialist Centre has the pleasure of presenting regular Continuing Education Seminars to the Veterinarians of Sydney. The Seminars are held once a month at the Veterinary Specialist Centre which is centrally located in Sydney, only 15 minutes from the CBD.
These complimentary seminars provide an informal evening of interesting topics presented by one of our specialists in order to provide continuing education to attending veterinarians in a friendly, social environment.
The evening starts at approximately 7pm with good food and drinks. Topics range from Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Dermatology and Anaesthesia.
Due to the popularity of these seminars, seats book very quickly so ring early to book your place for these enjoyable evenings and receive a certificate of attendance which will earn Vet Ed points.
