Emergency Care

Robyn Bailey
Receptionist
After working at the front desk of a busy public hospital department, Robyn decided dealing with four-legged patients would be a welcome change. An animal lover since childhood, having grown up with two Australian Terriers, Robyn's long term goal is to find a pet-friendly property so she can welcome a dog back into her life. In the meantime, she is making do with a offering all VSC's patients a pat and cuddle as they come for their appointments.

Emma Pearce
Receptionist
Emma describes her role in reception as her dream job - she was a client service manager for nearly a decade before swapping the corporate world for property maintenance, however she couldn't say no when a friend recommended this job to her. She loves all animals but does admit to a soft spot for Labradors (particularly chocolate) and can empathise with those clients who come to see Dr Black as he has operated on her own Lab long before she was working at VSC.

Karena Powis
Accountant

Alison Muhary
Receptionist
Alison has a varied background in business administration and client services, making her an ideal candidate for VSC's reception. Alison has recently enrolled her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Storm, in VSC's blood donor program. Her other interests include interior design and travelling.

Roslyn Davis
Receptionist
Roslyn's experience over the years has been varied from managing a conference and training centre to working with hundreds of volunteers at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and now working with such an amazing and caring group of people such as specialists, nurses and carers at VSC. At the moment she has four dogs and a cat but over the years have owned many dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs and have many experiences of them all - even with the steer.
Dr Agnes Chiu BVSc (Hons)

Agnes graduated from the University of Sydney with Honours in 2004. She worked in various small animal practices in Sydney before becoming the surgical intern of Dr Tony Black at the former Northern Sydney Veterinary Specialist Centre. In addition to veterinary science and small animal surgery in particular, Agnes also likes technology and computing. She combined her interests in both fields and produced an education CD-ROM on veterinary anaesthesia with Dr Christina Dart at the University Veterinary Centre, Camden as a study aid for the undergraduate students. She completed her surgical internship at the VSC in Jun 08 and continued to maintain the VSC website.
Agnes has a cuddly and fluffy little Pomeranian called Happy (pictured).
