Dr Andrea Flory

Small Animal Oncologist

Andrea graduated from The Ohio State University in 2003. After spending a year at Florida Veterinary Specialists and Cancer Treatment Centre, she commenced Residency Training at Cornell University in Medical Oncology.

During the residency program Andrea worked as an oncology Consultant at the Cornell University Feline Health Centre until 2007 when she moved to the Animal Medical Centre (AMC) NY, where she was a Staff Oncologist and Co-Chief of the Department of Medical Oncology. Andrea left the AMC to join us at The Veterinary Specialist Centre. Andrea has won a number of awards and honours from the Ohio State University, Cornell University and The Veterinary Cancer Society and has been heavily involved with clinical chemotherapy drug trials during her career.

Her special oncology interests are cancer therapy in cats, novel chemotherapy agents and canine lymphoma. She is widely published in the veterinary oncology literature.

At Cornell and the AMC Andrea has been directly involved with training interns and residents and will continue this important work at the VSC, working closely with Dr Neil Christensen our Oncology resident.

Away fro work Andrea is interested in travelling, snowboarding and running and is currently training for the Sydney Marathon.
