Emergency Care
We provide a specialist (by referral) service and an after hours emergency service to the greater Sydney area. We work in close partnership with local veterinarians to ensure that your pet receives the best possible care at all times. The VSC is available for specialist referrals on weekdays from 8am to 6pm and Saturdays 8am to 4pm. Where are we?
The Veterinary Specialist Centre is home to some of the most experienced and respected specialist veterinarians in Australia. We were the first dedicated specialist centre in Australia. We have earned and maintained a reputation of being at the forefront of patient care.
At the VSC we work out of a state of the art veterinary facility that opened in 1997. Our hospital has been specially designed to meet the needs of animals that have complex conditions requiring specialist management.
ACCES, the Animal Critical Care Emergency Service, provides around the clock care for our hospitalized patients as well as providing an accident and emergency service similar to human hospitals.
In September 2007 the VSC merged with the Northern Sydney Veterinary Specialist Centre, where Dr Tony Black and Dr Stephen Fearnside have provided specialist surgical care for 25 years.
The surgery team has exceptional experience in orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurology and oncology (cancer) surgeries.
Dr Martin Havlicek joined the surgical service in 2008.
